OUR PHILOSOPHY
The goal of our research and development in water glass based moulding sand binders was and is to create process secure economical as well as environmentally and workplace friendly moulding technologies for all fields in the foundries industry. This means that in addition to the mass production foundries, the small and medium sized company iron, copper and light alloys´ foundries should also be provided with the option of using improved inorganic binder systems.
Furthermore, it must be remembered that the production technology already installed and operational, therefore the core shooting machines as well as core boxes i.e. moulds, aside from minimal changes or modifications, must if possible still be usable with a new binder system. Development strategy covers not only core production but also mould production from water glass moulding materials.
Another important aspect of development is also, in addition to the drying processes necessary to produce standard cores on the basis of Hot- i.e. Warm-Box-, Microwave- or Warm Air Hardening, to further develop the classic bonding technologies of water glass bonded moulding materials with hardening via carbon dioxide for core production and also the self-hardening moulding materials to produce moulds. This is to ensure that materials suitable binder systems can be provided for a broad spectrum of applications, batch size and casting.
