Peak Deutschland GmbH was founded in 2007 in Nossen, Saxony Germany. We actively develop and distribule environmentally friendly binder systems used in the production of moulds and cores in the foundries industry. Peak Deutschland GmbH services clients in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. Peak International b.v., with headquarters in Leuvenheim Holland, is responsible for Western Europe and overseas.
It is our vision to make the production of cast parts more environmentally friendly. We achieve this by replacing organic binder systems based on artificial resins which release harmful substances with our inorganic products based on alkaline silicate (known as water glass binders). This is not only very beneficial for the environment, but also provides for a much better healthier work place in the foundries.
We see our company’s activities in the tradition of many decades of research and development in silicate- or water glass binder systems at the Foundry Institute, Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg, inextricably linked with the name of Prof.Dr.Ing.habil Eckhart Flemming (1929-2004). Our company also has a partnership agreement with this university.
Since German reunification moulding processes using water glass binders with different hardeners were nearly made and considered obsolete by the rapid spread of organic binder systems, yet they still remained an option in moulding processes applied in foundries.
In recent years however this industry has begun to rethink its approach. Environmentally friendly foundries, but also the demands of end clients and not least government legislation are forcefully promoting the use of environmentally friendly systems in mould and core production. Our Cast-Clean-Binder systems have an important role to play in this change.
